After a Catastrophic fire left Fort Smith without its arena, Brad and a number of citizens rallied the community to enter the Kraft Celebration Tour competition. The Town of Fort Smith and it’s 2400 citizens had to compete with Whitehorse a City of 24,000. It was truly a David and Goliath situation. Fort Smith racked up online votes of over 200,000 online votes against Whitehorse which received 12,000 votes.
It was a great way for the community to pull together to help itself and to bring Fort Smith’s Pride of place to the forefront. Brad says that the Tour and subsequent TSN show was ” The first Time ever that a National Sports Television show was broadcasted live from above the 60th Parallel, and could not have happened without the help of the vast amount of people who love Fort Smith”
