Governor Generals Canadian Leadership Conference

Brad is one of only 1700 alumni of the Governor Generals Canadian Leadership Conference. This conference is the pinnacle of leadership development in Canada and is endorsed by the Governor General of Canada. The conference brings together leaders from many fields so they can share their knowledge with each other and learn from touring a region of Canada. It is fully funded through donations and alumni remain in contact throughout the years. The network of alumni is second to none and the leaders formed in this conference live and work in all walks of life and are united by a common experience and bond.

Brad’s participation in the conference was supported and sponsored by the UNW and Government of the Northwest Territories .

He also arranged for the NWT Governor Generals leadership tour to visit Fort Smith for the first time ever in 2015, the tour members said that it was their most memorable visit to the North.

The Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference was created to broaden the perspectives of future leaders in business, unions and public administration so that their decisions are based on a practical understanding of the influence of their organizations on the general welfare of the community.

The mission of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference is to:

•Improve decision-making abilities among young leaders likely to occupy high level positions in the near future;

•Facilitate a more progressive era of interaction between leaders from business, labour, government and the broader community; and

•Broaden candidates understanding of Canada.
